Polycom SpectraLink 8400 Wi-Fi handsets

The Polycom SpectraLink 8400 series handsets for wireless voice and data applications are now available in Australia. The handsets provide voice and data over Wi-Fi capabilities, allowing companies to use existing networks.

The handsets feature a standards-based application platform, an integrated barcode reader, and interoperability with 802.11a/b/g/n wireless infrastructure and several unified communications (UC) platforms.

The handsets are intended to improve productivity and responsiveness of mobile workers.

The 8440 features switchable battery packs, while the 8450 features an integrated barcode reader for voice, data applications and data capture from one device.

The handsets feature an XML-based application platform for access to enterprise productivity applications and can integrate with Microsoft Office Communications Server to provide instant messaging and presence capabilities.
