Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones offer users a comfortable grip, ergonomic curves and a streamlined silhouette where each of the four sides of the device’s glass surfaces are contoured to emulate the form of a three-dimensional water drop. Both models are available in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl and Silver Titanium colours.

The smartphones includes an Always-On Display, which lets users check the time or notifications without waking the screen, and unlike the Galaxy S6, which has icons of various shapes, the smartphones feature squircle (rounded square) icons to create a more organised appearance. With the Galaxy S7 edge, added features of the edge screen include functions such as Tasks edge, a panel that provides shortcuts to frequently used apps, as well as Quick tools, a panel that includes a compass and customisable flashlight.

Running off the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, the products offer Samsung Internet 4.0, which provides better privacy and functionality, and Cross App, which lets users operate their favourite apps from within other apps. A MicroSD slot allows for expandable storage, while a larger battery and fast wired and wireless charging speeds mean the devices can do more over a longer time period.

The models contain a Dual Pixel image sensor that allows for fast shooting while ensuring good image quality, regardless of lighting conditions. It also includes camera features such as Motion Panorama and Selfie Flash to provide a new phonetography experience. To make the function icons always accessible, black strips were placed on the top and bottom of the screen.
