NCS Australia to establish cloud CoE in Melbourne
ICT provider NCS Australia has selected Melbourne as the home of its new cloud centre of excellence for Asia–Pacific.
The new centre has launched with a mission of offering governments and businesses greater access to skilled cloud-native consultants and experienced project managers across the APAC region.
To support the launch, NCS has also committed to creating 500 net new jobs within the market over the next few years, with a focus on skills in emerging technologies.
The Singtel Group subsidiary has partnered with the Victorian Government’s Invest Victoria division to build out and launch the NEXT Cloud CoE.
“Victoria is the tech capital of Australia and we’re so proud to welcome NCS to Melbourne, creating jobs and continuing our thriving reputation of innovation and excellence.”
The CoE will form part of NCS’ NEXT Innovation Triangle, which also nodes in Singapore and Shenzhen.
NCS will work with fellow Singtel Group subsidiary Optus on building out the CoE and the company’s capabilities in Australia, according to NCS Head of NEXT Solutions for Australia Andrew Conti.
“We have witnessed the increasing pace at which both public and commercial sectors in Australia are adopting a digital-first approach to transforming the way in which we live and work.
Through the NCS NEXT Cloud CoE launch in Australia, Optus Enterprise and NCS can help Australian enterprises and government agencies leverage cloud-based innovations to unlock competitive advantages and enhance customer or citizen experiences.”
