Nutanix expands collaboration with AWS
Cloud software provider Nutanix has expanded its partnership with AWS in a bid to accelerate customers’ cloud migration journeys. The collaboration will also seek to provide options for customers managing workloads across on-premises and cloud environments.
Users will be able to leverage Nutanix Cloud Clusters on AWS to allow organisations to run their applications on a consistent environment across on-premises and the AWS Cloud. They will also benefit from access to AWS services including database, storage and advanced AI services.
Meanwhile, AWS will make promotional credits available to support customer migrations, including credits for migrating VMWare on AWS workloads to Nutanix Cloud Clusters on AWS. The company will also offer customers migrating from other environments or from on-premises access to the benefits from the AWS Migration Acceleration Program, including free proof-of-concept trials and migration assessments. Customers will also be offered promotional pricing for Nutanix licensing.
Nutanix Chief Commercial Officer Tarkan Maner said the company’s expanded partnership with AWS “is a win-win-win for both companies and our customers, as it will help simplify their cloud migration journeys, accelerate their adoption of AWS using NC2, and open the door to hybrid cloud and on-prem Nutanix opportunities”.
AWS VP for Americas Channels and Alliances Chris Sullivan added that the expanded collaboration represents a step forward in simplifying cloud migration.
“This partnership will empower more customers to accelerate their digital transformation journey, allowing them to leverage the scalability, security, resiliency and innovation of AWS and its services,” Sullivan said.
