Kyndryl, Nokia launch expanded DC network portfolio
IT infrastructure services provider Kyndryl has expanded its partnership with Nokia to offer advanced data centre networking solutions and services to enterprises needing to operate high-performance workloads. Kyndryl says the expanded partnership combines its own expertise in designing, building and managing hybrid cloud and data centre environments with Nokia’s data centre networking infrastructure portfolio.
The expanded range of joint solutions covers end-to-end network services including SD-WAN, Secure Access Service Edge, private 5G networks, edge computing and cloud networking hyperscaler services, as well as data centre networking solutions and multi-layer security solutions.
To support the expanded solutions, Kyndryl plans to integrate Nokia’s Event-Driven Automation technology, a machine learning-powered data centre automation platform, with its Kyndryl Bridge AI-powered digital business platform for observability and orchestration.
Kyndryl said the partnership takes advantage of Kyndryl’s expertise with network management and consulting services and Nokia’s track record in deploying large-scale networks for service providers, webscalers and enterprises.
“As enterprises face increasing workloads due to hybrid IT environments, AI adoption and high-performance computing, the demand for highly reliable, low-latency and secure connectivity has never been greater,” said Kyndryl’s Global Network and Edge Computing Practice Leader, Paul Savill. “Our expanded portfolio of solutions with Nokia underscores the critical role that robust data centre network infrastructure plays in driving IT modernisation.”
