Cisco named best place to work
Cisco has secured the number 1 spot on Great Place to Work’s 2021 Best Workplaces List in the over-1000-employees category for large organisations.
The list is based on a comprehensive assessment of workplace culture. The survey found that 93% of employees said taking everything into account, Cisco Australia is a Great Place to Work. Cisco’s purpose is to power an inclusive future for all, leading the way in hybrid work with trust, flexibility, supporting wellbeing and enabling teams to succeed.
Cisco Australia & New Zealand Vice President Ben Dawson said, “We are thrilled to see Cisco recognised as the #1 Best Place to Work in Australia for the second consecutive year. It exemplifies that our people value and embrace our culture, which has been resilient through some of the most challenging experiences, both personally and professionally, that our community has ever faced.
“Throughout these uncertain times we took decisive action to care for our people first, adapt our business and support communities in need. We responded to the needs of our employees — with their safety, health, financial stability and mental wellbeing as our priority. We adapted our business and extended the support of our technology solutions to our customers and in our communities, empowering our employees to engage, be effective and drive impact.”
Dawson said, “Our next task is clear — to make the best workplace, the best hybrid workplace. As the needs of our employees are evolving, so too is the role of the workplace. These needs and demands will be different going forward. The way we work will be hybrid, and largely determined by employees themselves.”
Employees are provided with five days of TIME2Give leave for giving back in their communities, and opportunities to support employee resource organisations they are passionate about.
The General Manager of Great Place to Work in Australia and New Zealand, Samantha Huddle, said, “Australia’s best workplaces have truly risen to the challenges of 2021. In an unprecedented year, the companies on our Australia Best Workplaces List for 2021 have excelled by putting their people first. It is an honour for Cisco to be recognised by their employees as an organisation that fosters respect, trust and fairness.”
