Coles launches new tech talent recruitment campaign

Coles has launched a new talent recruitment campaign to help parents, carers and entrepreneurs return to technology careers after a period of parental leave, caregiving, entrepreneurship or further study.

The Relauncher campaign will be a six-month program that will guarantee participants a permanent career with Coles.

The first intake of the program will create up to 15 new jobs in roles including project manager, delivery lead, senior business analyst and agile coach.

The first program will commence in January next year. Applications close on 17 November.

Coles CTO John Cox said the program has been designed to complement the company’s existing graduate and industry-based learning programs, as well as its standard hiring processes.

“The market for tech talent is more competitive than ever, so having multiple pathways and opportunities that appeal to a diverse range of talented professionals is an important part of Coles’ Better Together strategy for attracting and retaining talent,” he said.

“Our aim is to effectively provide the support, flexibility and upskilling to help our participants have an enjoyable and productive transition back into the technology career that they love. This is a key part of our commitment to creating a well-rounded cohort of diverse team members and supporting career pathways for our people to grow in technology.”
