NEC announces program for talented tech grads

NEC Australia is inviting talented technology graduates to join its 2017 graduate program. The program is a structured combination of job experience, coaching, workshops, performance planning and feedback. Graduates have the opportunity to develop their technical skills, confidence and business acumen.

The intake program offers opportunities across Australia including Adelaide, Darwin, Melbourne and Wollongong.

NEC Australia is currently engaged by large enterprise, small business and government customers to drive change and deliver smarter ways of doing business.

Highly skilled, motivated and engaged graduates who join the program may be in their final year of study or have recently completed a degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, networking, software engineering or another technology-related discipline.

“For nearly five decades NEC Australia has consistently invested in people and nurturing high-value ICT skills to deliver a smarter future for Australia,” said Sue Roberts, director of people and culture at NEC Australia.

“Our training, education and professional development programs have produced some of today’s brightest talent in Australia’s information and communications industry. Our 2017 graduates will learn from these leaders in a supportive yet demanding environment that will help them reach new heights in their careers,” she said.

Participants are challenged to embrace NEC’s focus on the customer and apply their problem-solving, communications and team work skills to develop innovative answers for business challenges.

The 18-month full-time program is designed to provide graduates with well-rounded skills and experience and to help them become high-functioning members of the NEC team. It also offers the potential to be the platform to launch a career with NEC in other states or internationally.

Applicants must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen at the time of submitting an application and be able to commence the program on 30 January 2017. Applications close at midnight AEST on Sunday, 18 September.
