Veeam appoints new channel sales chief for Aus/NZ
Veeam Software, a provider of backup solutions that deliver modern data protection, has appointed Klasie Holtzhausen as its Director, Channel Sales, for Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to Vice President A/NZ, Gary Mitchell, Holtzhausen will be responsible for leading Veeam’s regional channel teams and will work with 2500 active partners and distributors to drive the company’s goal to deliver modern data protection, hybrid cloud/SaaS and next-generation IT solutions to businesses across the region.
Holtzhausen will focus on driving Veeam’s reformed channel strategy, to grow Tier 1 and 2 partners across Australia and New Zealand by helping them build their service offerings so customers can better manage their data. Mitchell commended Holtzhausen’s success in building multiple routes to market with partners, and delivering outstanding sales practices and results.
“Veeam drives its sales through the channel and we are fully committed to enabling our partners to increase and diversify their value-propositions for customers by offering modern data protection solutions across cloud, virtual, SaaS, Kubernetes and physical environments delivered either as a service or on-premises,” Mitchell said.
Holtzhausen has over 25 years’ sales and channel leadership experience in the IT industry and was previously Regional Director, Pacific, at Forcepoint. Holtzhausen has also held senior roles at Symantec, IBM, Dell Software and CA Technologies. On his appointment, Holtzhausen said he is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Veeam’s network of partners and take them on the journey to achieve growth and success across A/NZ and beyond.
“Veeam has had an incredible track record in the past 18 months with the success of v11, completing support for all three major public cloud providers and consistent double-digit revenue growth. I’m excited to be joining a 100% channel company which ensures its partners are always at the core of every decision Veeam makes. This puts Veeam in a very strong position to focus on supporting our partners’ innovation and cloud value-propositions, as well as providing the tools and skills required to support digital transformation in the most simple, flexible and reliable way,” Holtzhausen said.
In June 2021, Veeam was named the Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) Ezmeral Software Momentum Marketplace Partner of the Year 2021 for modern data protection solutions. The award recognised Veeam within the HPE partner ecosystem and underscored the continued momentum of Veeam Availability Suite v11 and Kasten K10 solutions being integrated with HPE Storage offerings and HPE GreenLake cloud services.
