VMWare appoints director for A/NZ partner organisation

VMWare Inc., a leading provider of enterprise software, has evolved its partner business in Australia and New Zealand to add greater value to the local ecosystem and empower partners to meet the changing needs of customers as they transform. In doing so, it has appointed Olga Specjalska as Director, Partner Business for Australia and New Zealand.

Specjalska will drive the continuing evolution of the ecosystem and deepen VMWare’s engagement with partners and joint customers. In this role, Specjalska will lead a team responsible for all aspects of VMWare’s ecosystem go-to-market program in Australia and New Zealand. This includes distribution, global systems integrators and outsourcing, OEMs, solution providers, service partnerships, partner readiness and business development.

Specjalska has a decade of experience within VMWare, across several markets in APJ. During this time, she took on roles requiring significant transformation and growth. Most recently, Specjalska spent three years as Marketing Director for VMWare in A/NZ, where she rebuilt and led the marketing organisation through a significant transformative period.

During this time, Specjalska drove a customer-centric marketing strategy through multiple acquisitions which involved the integration of new marketing organisations and transformed the market strategy to support VMWare’s business transition to a SaaS-based model. Prior to this, Specjalska delivered strategic value for VMWare’s enterprise customers, and lead regional strategy for demand-generation and sales acceleration.

“I look forward to working closely with our partners across Australia and New Zealand to support our customers’ unique needs as they evolve their technology strategies. Our partners play a critical role in delivering strategic value for customers, and I’m excited by the opportunity to deliver on VMware’s commitment to a simplified and consistent partner experience,” Specjalska said.

As part of the evolution of the VMWare A/NZ partner business, a new team will be established to focus on global service partnerships. Anthony Clarke has been appointed as Director (Services-led Partnerships), reporting to Specjalska. In this role, Clarke will partner with VMWare’s services-led partners such as Accenture, Deloitte and others, to help mutual customers realise greater opportunities for innovation via effective cloud strategies and building modern applications.

“As our customers change the way they do business, I’m pleased to be placing a strong focus on our services partnerships. I look forward to leveraging my experience to work together with these important partners to identify and drive new opportunities in the market,” Clarke said.
