Veeam updates Backup for Salesforce offering
Data resilience company Veeam has updated its Veeam Backup for Salesforce solution with new capabilities including data archiving.
The solution, available on the Salesforce AppExchange, now allows businesses to avoid additional storage costs and stay within their Salesforce storage limits by moving historical data and files to a secure backup repository. Additional new features include the ability for organisations to specify object fields and file types to be encrypted using the Salesforce Shield Platform Encryption tool to provide an additional layer of protection for more sensitive data, and to build an AI data analysis pipeline using Salesforce business data.
Veeam Backup for Salesforce is designed to eliminate the risk of data loss due to human error, integration issues or other data loss scenarios during Salesforce deployments. It can be deployed either on premises or in the cloud.
Veeam Chief Revenue Officer John Jester said the new updates to the platform demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing secure data backup and recovery solutions for its customers.
“We understand the risks associated with data loss and the importance of data resiliency for organisations of all sizes, as well as our 55,000 customers across the globe,” he said. “Protecting Salesforce is a shared responsibility and every organisation needs to protect themselves from data loss and corruption. With our purpose-built Salesforce backup solution, businesses can have peace of mind, knowing that their data is protected and that they have the ability to recover quickly in case of any data loss event.”
The Salesforce AppExcange is an enterprise marketplace for partner apps and experts in the Salesforce ecosystem. Since launching in 2006, the platform has grown to include more than 8000 apps and experts.
