Cradlepoint launches Cellular Intelligence platform
Cradlepoint has launched a new platform named Cellular Intelligence, designed to allow enterprise customers to manage their mobile networks and assets, including 5G connectivity, from a single portal.
The new platform combines Cradlepoint’s existing mobile management capabilities with SIM management, based on integration with parent company Ericsson’s IoT Accelerator platform.
Customers will be able to activate and manage cellular routers, SIMs and data plans from a single location, and access detailed analytics about the performance of mobile networks, endpoints and devices.
Functionality includes the ability to control which applications and functions use cellular failover connections, and integrated SIM management across the entire wireless WAN.
Cradlepoint SVP of Marketing Donna Johnson said the platform has been tailor made to address the mobile device management demands of the modern era.
“We have now officially entered a 5G-driven world. IT teams are going to be faced with complexities of managing and controlling a distributed Wireless WAN,” she said.
“Cellular Intelligence, which is embedded in everything Cradlepoint does, simplifies cellular deployments with more predictable connectivity, deeper insights and more accurate cost containment. It goes well beyond adding an off-the-shelf modem to a router and gives network administrators the tools they need to secure, manage and control a distributed Wireless WAN — at scale.”
