Win a $25,000 WLAN for your K-12 school

Monday, 06 June, 2011

As part of its Winter of Wireless competition, Wavelink is giving away a $25,000 wireless LAN, including installation and support, to one Australian K-12 school.

The competition is open to K-12 schools based in Australia with at least 250 students.

The prize, based on technology from Meru Networks, includes:

  • 20 802.11n wireless access points
  • one WLAN controller
  • installation from Wavelink, or one of its authorised resellers
  • a year’s worth of support from Meru Networks

The competition is open until 31 August 2011. To be in the running, entrants must explain in 200 words or less how a wireless network would benefit their school.

A web-based entry form is available at http://www.wavelink.com.au/promo/meru-winter-2011/enter.php.

Full terms and conditions are also available at the Wavelink website.

Ilan Rubin, Managing Director, Wavelink, said: “Mobile computing initiatives are changing the way children learn in K-12 environments. Laptop carts, video learning and one-to-one computing programs have combined with small IT teams and shrinking budgets to drive the need for a high-density, simple-to-manage and intelligent wireless network.
