ATEN’s Professional Online Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) can provide emergency power to electronic devices when the input power source, or the mains, fails. While its basic technology is the same as in a standby or line-interactive UPS, the online UPS is designed to deliver a greater current of AC-to-DC battery charger/rectifier, where the rectifier and inverter are designed to run continuously with improved cooling systems. It can also adjust incoming AC power and save open files automatically.
The UPS has an illuminated LCD screen that displays input voltage and battery capacity and includes a three-button configuration interface and audible alarms for different modes of operation. Power management software can also be installed on the connected computers to help IT professionals monitor and manage backup power. This software allows users to access UPS battery conditions, load levels and runtime information as well as provide unattended shutdown of network computers and virtual machines connected to a battery backup during a power event.
