F5 Networks’ BIG-IP v10.1 includes the claimed first geolocation services database that identifies the physical location of a user by monitoring additional contextual information for BIG-IP products.
This location information, coupled with F5’s iRules scripting language, enables users to take into account the user’s actual location and access conditions in order to determine the best application delivery policy, providing additional intelligence to better secure, optimise and direct end-user application transactions.
Users will have control over who can access the corporate network based on location and can also limit access to specific materials.
