HP's long line of acquisitions has resulted in the addition of 3Com, which industry pundits say will create a networking industry powerhouse with an edge-to-data centre set of solutions with global reach. The acquisition includes H3C, the jointly owned company of Huawei and 3Com and TippingPoint, the network security company.
